Jim details the origins of the Zamboni company, founded by Frank Zamboni in California. Originally an ice industry professional, Frank transitioned from selling ice blocks to operating an ice rink. To solve the labor-intensive problem of manual ice resurfacing, he utilized post-war surplus jeeps to develop the first machines.
